Following a delayed but successful 2021 Annual Tour in Wangaratta we have confirmed a destination for the 2022 Annual Tour together with a return to the traditional Labour Day long weekend. It is therefore very important that you get in early and book your accommodation for the 2022 Annual Tour in Halls Gap. The event will be called the Grampians Annual Tour in recognition of the locations we will be visiting that weekend but most activities will be centred around Halls Gap which is therefore the most appropriate place to secure you accommodation.
The 2022 Annual Tour will be back to it's usual format, being held on the Labour Day long weekend. It is being organised in the Grampians region by George and Jacqui Porter and is sure to be a great opportunity to get back into country Victoria with a run in your Club vehicle to see a few memorable sights in Halls Gap, Ararat and Stawell together with the nightly entertainment.
As part of the Club's Covid Recovery Plan the 2022 Grampians Annual Tour is being heavily subsidised to help current members participate in one of our major events of the year, with no entry fee and reduced meal and venue entry costs for adults, and with children under 18 FREE for all meals and entries, so take advantage and get the family out of lockdown.
But if you have not booked your accommodation then do it VERY SOON as we are competing with a nation of eager travellers looking to get away on this long weekend.
The activities begin on Friday night for the early arrivals with a dinner at the Country Plaza Halls Gap Motel, while the Tour formally starts on Saturday with a complimentary BBQ in Alexandra Gardens and Park in Ararat. After the rally bags are distributed it is off to the infamous J Ward for a tour and talk before returning to Halls Gap for a 2-course meal with entertainment. Sunday includes a visit to the Halls Gap Sunday Market before the trip to Seppelts Great Western Winery in Stawell for a lunch, tour and wine tasting. Sunday night's Presentation Dinner is in Hall Gap, before returning home on Monday
