A Special General Meeting has been called for 15th November 2013 to vote on new Club Rules, in accordance with a new act called the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012

Notice of Special General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING of the Chrysler Restorers Club of Australia Victoria Inc will be held in the meeting room of the CRCA Club rooms, 41 Norcal Rd, Nunawading, commencing at
8:00pm on Friday, 15th November, 2013

The agenda of the meeting will include:

* Discussion of the need for the existing Club Constitution to be replaced by new Club Rules that conform with a new act called the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012

* An explanation of the format and content of the new Club Rules, as proposed by the Club Committee. These Club Rules are based on, but not identical to, the current "Model Rules for Incorporated Associations" and replace all previous versions of the Club Constitution and must be submitted for approval by The Registrar, Consumer Affairs Victoria

* An explanation of the format and content of the new associated Club Bylaws, as proposed by the Club Committee (refer below). These bylaws may be referred to directly by the Club Rules, and/or retain the intent of clauses in the existing Constitution for matters that do not require inclusion in the Club Rules. These proposed Bylaws may only be revoked or replaced by resolution at a Special General Meeting of the Members of the Association

* An explanation of the existence of additional Club Bylaws, determined by the Committee only, which are prepared for the good governance of the Club. Members may contribute to the content of these Additional Club Bylaws, via the Committee, but they remain the responsibility of the elected Committee to maintain

* Special Resolutions - Members will be asked to vote on the following special resolutions

* That the proposed Club Rules, as published and available to Members, is agreed to.

* That the following proposed Club Bylaws, as published and available to Members be agreed to, and may only be revoked or replaced by resolution at a Special General Meeting of the Members of the Association

Members not able to attend may vote by Proxy in accordance with the existing Constitution. Forms can be obtained from the Secretary or by email from info@chryslerclubvic.org.au

Copies of the proposed  Club Rules and Bylaws documents may be downloaded as follows or a printed copy may be obtained, by request, from the Secretary

The Special General Meeting will be followed by the usual November monthly General Meeting
